We make our shoes in Northern Portugal, working with three key factories. The first is a family-owned and operated premium leather shoe factory that has specialized in handmade, Goodyear-welted footwear since the ’60s. The second is an innovative manufacturer that has been producing orthotic insoles for more than thirty years. The third, established in the 1970s, specializes in high-quality outsoles, with a fully vertical factory that oversees every step—from mold making to finishing—enabling innovative solutions and consistent quality.
Frustrated by a lack of premium leather shoes supportive enough to accommodate his long-term injuries from skateboarding and soccer, our founder created Canal Footwear to make comfortable shoes that don't compromise on style.
