Step One
Tape a piece of paper to a hard, flat surface, ensuring the paper is securely taped down and positioned against a wall. This will help ensure the paper doesn’t move and that you’re standing straight during the measurement.
Step Two
While wearing the socks you plan to use with your footwear, stand on the paper with your heel pressed against the wall and aligned with the edge of the paper. Make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart and your weight is evenly balanced. Have a friend or partner mark the tip of your big toe with a pen or pencil held straight down.
Step Three
Once the mark is recorded, step off the paper. Measure the distance from the edge of the paper (where your heel was) to the mark at your big toe. This measurement represents the length of your foot. Repeat the process with the other foot, as it’s common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other.
Step Four
Use the longer of the two measurements to determine your Canal Footwear fit using the size chart at the bottom of this page. If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend sizing up to ensure a more comfortable fit.
